The Boss DD-2 Digital Delay was first made in 1983, offering the first digital delay jammed into a stompbox. Using the same integrated circuit chip as the Roland SDE-3000, the Boss DD-2 brought long and crystal-clear digital delay to the masses. It features mono input, mono/stereo output, and up to 800ms of delay time. 

The serial number is found in the battery compartment. It is #426400 according to various boss pedal decoders this unit was made in May 1984. 

Condition:
  • This is a used unit. 

  • This unit is in good condition for its age. It shows some general signs of wear like nicks, scratches and scuffs. Please see photos for further details. It is missing the rubber backing on the back of the case.

  • This unit is 100% functional. All controls work as they should. 

  • This unit can power off a 9V battery or 9V negative centre power supply. A generic power supply will be included for Australian and New Zealand buyers only. 

  • This sale is for the DD-2 and PSU (AU & NZ only). Nothing else is included in this sale.

Well build. Very solid for the price. I used #1 AWG cable. I don't like the pinch bolt connection. It tries to drill through the cable, and spreads the strands. Only about 2/3rds are pinched under the knurled bolt tip. I'll keep an eye on it, and if the connection heats up, I'll pull apart, straighten the strands, and tin the ends with solder so they don't crush much. See how that works. A concave, half circle piece under the pinch bolt would be better IMO. That would keep strands together as they crushed down.
