Yes, the Osapian 40 is fully compatible with both salt and fresh water. It is equipped with a sacrificial anode to protect against galvanic corrosion. We recommend rinsing the motor with fresh water after each saltwater use.
What battery do I need for this motor?
For optimal performance and longevity, use a 12V Deep Cycle (Leisure) battery. A capacity of 80AH to 105AH is recommended, providing approximately 2 hours of runtime at full speed.
Can the handle be folded for transport?
Yes, the handle features a collapsible upper body and handle design, allowing it to fold away and save significant space on-board or during storage.
