Zacht romig en fluwelig met  flinke dosis rood  kersenfruit viooltjes en wat  kruidigheid.

Veelzijdig inzetbaar zowel bij vlees als vis als vega.  Montepulciano in purezza ! (geen hout )

Vlees Oosters gelakte eendenbout met loempia van eend, geroosterde groenten en Teryaki saus;  Krokante polenta met gepofte pompoen, paddenstoelen, Parmezaanse kaas en saus van eekhoorntjesbrood; Romige polenta met runderstoof en zoetzure ui, gegrilleerde witlof;   estufado  iberico met witte boontjes

2.Garnacha tintorera  Cueva del Chaman Santa Cruz de Valpera  Spanje

Hamersma  8,5
De overheersende wijnsoort in Almansa is "Garnacha Tintorera". Een inheemse druivensoort die zo genoemd wordt vanwege zijn gekleurde vruchtvlees en omdat het een hogere kleurintensiteit heeft dan andere rassen wereldwijd. Het komt van de kruising tussen Petit Bouchet en Garnacha Tinta (Franse Grenache) en werd ongeveer rond het jaar 1866 in het gebied van Alicante geïntroduceerd door Franse handelaren nog voor de Phylloxera-aanval (druifluis). 

Elegante evenwichtige smaak met rijp roodfruit.  Heerlijk verteerbaar sterk fruitig karakter Schenktemperatuur: 14-16 °C Serveren bij gedroogde ham, tomaten risotto, tortilla

en geweldig bij de gado gado van makreel

 

3.Terros tinto, Bodegas Pinoso, Valencia, Spanje Wijnmaakster Anna Amat gebruikt alleen autochtone gisten, werkt biologisch en vegan en zonder compromissen. Werkt vrijwel zonder toegevoegd sulfiet bij te afvullen.

Wijn uit 100% biologisch geteelde niet geïrrigeerde oude stokken Monastrell (Mourvedrvoegt vrijwel geen sulfuet tie bij te afvullene), Merlot en vooral Alicante bouschet (garnacha) druiven, handmatig geplukt in de vroege ochtend en afzonderlijk gevinifieerd om de typische kenmerken van elke variëteit te laten zien.De merlot-druif geeft de aroma's van peper, zwart fruit en truffel, terwijl de monastrell de wijn de warmte geeft van het Spaanse mediterrane klimaat, waardoor hij fruitig en zacht wordt. De alicante bouschet, ook wel garnacha tintorera genoemd, is bekend om zijn roodgekleurde vruchtvlees, zijn tannines en zijn intense kleur. Authentiek, onvergelijkbaar, onderscheidend en vrijwel zonder toevoeging van zwavel gemaakt. Unieke wijn met heel eigen karakter: bloemig, intense fruitaroma’ s van rood en zwart fruit, rond en warm, zachte tannines, aantrekkelijke wijn met zeer aangename afdronk. Schenktemperatuur: 14-16 °C Serveren bij Spaanse gedroogde ham en charcuterie, gebraden varkensvlees; gegrilde groenten

 

 

4.Arbino Rosso, Vinea, Nicolino Paolucci, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Italië

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, geheel op RVS tanks gevinifieerd, dus op fruit

gemaakt. De gedeeltelijke ripasso (ingedroogde druiven) geeft volheid

en kracht. Zeer donker gekleurd. Rijk aroma van rijpe vruchten (pruimen),

rode bessen en viooltjes. In de smaak heel sappig met in de afdronk complexiteit,

zachtheid, verfijning en body. Schenktemperatuur: 14-16 °C Serveren bij 

Konijn, lam, kip, pasta/deegwaren, rood vlees, vederwild, varkensvlees./ entrecote

 

 

5. Nero d Avola Castelluccimiano Sicilie Italië

Nero D'Avola op hoogte. Tussen de 500 - 900 meter met vooral actieve kalksteen en wat klei en zand, waardoor er geen irrigatie nodig is. De leeftijd van de wijnstokken is 30-40 jaar gemiddeld. Zuiver en geconcentreerd paarsrood van kleur. Elegante geur. Feminin. Rood fruit. Puur. Klein zoetje. Sappige en fruitige aanzet in de mond. Bijna Beaujolais-achtig. Fijn & complex. Veel rood fruit. Heel natuurlijk. Ook iets van donker fruit. Laurier. Lekker mondgevoel en goed doordrinkbaar. Fantastisch glas wijn! 6.Syrah CastellucciMiano Valledolmo - Contea di Sclafani  Sicilie Italië

Het wijnhuis Castellucci Miano ligt in het hart van Noord-Sicilië, op de hellingen van Madonie in de Valledolmo vallei. Opgericht in 1961 als een coöperatie, nu 125 samenwerkende, gepassioneerde druiventelers /wijnboeren en een dedicated wijnteam onder leiding van Piero Boffa en oenoloog Tonino Guzzo. Hun wijngaardareaal bestrijkt totaal 75 hectare. Ze maken 120.000 flessen ( dat is net genoeg voor een wijnmaker om in leven te blijven dus alle 125 doen ze er iets bij )  

Biodiversiteit en terroir spelen een belangrijke rol:

Kleine wijngaardplots van 1 ha worden afgewisseld met olijven en fruitgaarden.

Iedere plot heeft zo zijn eigen terroir gerelateerde kenmerken.

De syrah wijngaarden, leeftijd nu 25 jaar, bevinden zich tussen de 400 en 500 meter hoogte.

De bodem hier is ideaal: zand klei leisteen vulkanisch waardoor er geen kunstmatige irrigatie nodig is.

Het wijngoed is erin geslaagd om duurzame landbouw, ervaring en wijntraditie met elkaar te combineren.

 

Proefnotitie

Verteerbare, koele true to type Syrah van vulkanische bodem uit de Madonie bergen rond Valledolmo ( het microclimate Contea di Sclafani )  doet denken aan de Rhone stijl van Christine Vernay. Donker fruit, vooral zwarte bessen en zwarte kersen. Zoete Kruiden. Peper. Gestructureerde wijn, maar voldoende fris en sappig. Veel fruit in midden palet. Gisting op rvs geeft fruit en sap; Rijping 10 mnd op fr eiken; 2 mnd op fles

Schenktemperatuur: 8-10C.  Serveren bij: Pasta Bolognese. Gegrild rood vlees. Risotto met paddenstoelen. Stoofgerechten, schol/ heilbot / zeeduivel met rode  wijnsaus , zee egel- pasta

This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book. Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that. I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice. This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This book completely blew me away. I loved every single character—not just the FMC and MMC, but the side characters too, which is rare. In a first book, side characters can feel flat while the focus is on world-building, but that definitely wasn’t the case here. The romantic tension between the FMC and MMC was so good—seriously addictive. The plot itself felt pretty straightforward at first, and the world-building was easy to follow. It even gave me Heartless Hunter / Wolf King vibes… until the last 20 pages. And wow—those final pages. I usually spot plot twists coming, and I thought this one was going to be predictable, but I was completely wrong. That ending genuinely shocked me—I haven’t had that reaction to a book in a long time. I’m already counting down to book two (and that teaser chapter? Absolutely brutal). Just read it. You won’t regret it.

I DEVOURED this book. I was in a huge slump after reading a horrible series right before this but after 3 pages of this book, I was hooked. I read the whole book in 2 days. I think the author did an amazing job at writing an engaging story with an amazing twist at the end. I know many readers feel betrayed by the twist and find the narrator to be unreliable but I feel that the twist was done in a great unsuspecting way. Though I do feel betrayed, I think there is so much room for redemption in the second book! The author also did an amazing job at world/character building. She was able to do so without interrupting the story which is one of my huge pet peeves. A lot of authors build by taking breaks in the plot or dialogue which I find choppy and disengaging but this author was able to build in an engaging way. There was some lack of world/character building but I think that was due to keeping reader in the dark. The world, politics, and characters were all very easy to understand. I found the romance a little lackluster and a bit off-kilter. Some of it was really pushy and rushed which left a bad taste in my mouth. I do hope the author delves deeper into the romance in coming books. The FMC was a breath of fresh air. She was not whiny or stuck-up like most books. She was never afraid to accept help from others but she was still able to shine with her intelligence. Not once did I think she made a poor decision just for the sake of a plot point. She was really easy to like. The MMC could use some work but I think that will happen more in coming books. This is a MUST read, my only advice would be to wait until it is a finished series!
