De gietijzeren kegel van de flambadou is speciaal ontworpen om te worden verhit tot het roodgloeiend is en kan dus direct in het vuur of in de kolen worden geplaatst. Wanneer de kegel gloeiend heet is kan het vet in de kegel worden gestopt, waarna het vlam vat, smelt en uit de onderste opening druipt. Dit brandende vet kan vervolgens op het stuk vlees, vis of een ander gerecht worden gesprenkeld om het extra knapperig en smaakvol te maken.
De kegel heeft een grote opening aan de bovenkant en een kleine opening aan de onderkant, en is bevestigd aan een lang handvat van hoogwaardig staal met een olijfhouten heft.

Basic knowledge of underwriting is necessary to understand.

This is a great guide for underwriting multifamily deals for someone with some basic to moderate knowledge of underwriting. I am a new student to this field and have to stop and google some of the acronyms. For a future version, I think adding an extra page for the acronyms used, definition and equation would be helpful. I think that the font could be larger and darker. Adding mathematical formulas in the book would provide visualization as well. Rob can also provide a sample OM for the reader to use with his underwriting model and compare to his completed one. Again, I am a newbie so my review may change as I gain knowledge in this area. I enjoyed listening to Rob on Youtube/Podcast and hope to learn more from him.

great read for underwriters of multifamily deals
Format: Kindle
Rob lays out a succinct and thorough summary of his underwriting process, questions industry standards while sharing his opinions, and discusses risk management and analyses for deals during the underwriting process. Highly recommend for newer and more seasoned underwriters and investors to build or sharpen multifamily underwriting fundamentals and details. He also shares his model as the example.

Full of useful information
Format: Paperback
As context, I've underwritten about 100 deals and attended some basic underwriting classes. Rob's book was very useful to me, both in helping me gain better skills in underwriting basics (stabilization time period and how unit renovations and rent bumps are modeled/phased-in as well as when to start applying rent escalator) as well as higher level topics, like partnership structures, sensitivity analyses, and judging the returns. In all of these higher level topics I learned several new topics (and calculations to add to my underwriting) and would guess that even experienced investors would pick up a few quality nuggets in these sections.
