Vanille olie wordt gewonnen uit de bonen van de Vanilla Planifolia, de vanille plant. De plant behoort tot de klimorchideeën. De bloemen bloeien maar 1-2 dagen. Daaruit groeien langwerpige vruchten. Deze vruchten plukt men voordat ze rijp zijn. Daarna wast men de vruchten met warm water en tot slot  laat men de vruchten  een aantal maanden drogen. Tijdens dit droogproces treedt er een soort vergisting op. Hierdoor vormen zich de donkerbruine vanillestokjes en krijgen ze hun heerlijke aroma. De olie is een alcoholextractie van de vanille peulen en bevat M.P.G. Het is een viskeuze, licht geelbruine vloeistof en kent zijn oorsprong in Mexico, maar wordt tegenwoordig gecultiveerd in Madagaskar. De geur is zoet, licht kruidig, echt vanille. De olie wordt verwerkt in jojoba olie om het werkbaar en betaalbaar te houden. Waarvoor wordt deze olie gebruikt? – Als sfeervolle geur – Geeft een vrolijke sfeer – kalmerend bij stress en frustratie
