The Roland VC-1-SC is a high-performance up/down/cross scan converter designed to provide seamless video conversion between SDI and HDMI formats. This versatile converter supports 3G (Level A&B), HD, and SD SDI, as well as HDMI input and output, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of professional video equipment. The VC-1-SC features a built-in frame synchronizer and scaler, allowing for precise frame rate, interlaced/progressive, and aspect ratio conversion. It also supports input from analog sources such as RGB and component, making it ideal for integrating legacy equipment into modern workflows. The converter is HDCP compliant, enabling the conversion or pass-through of HDCP signals, except for any SDI output. Selectable audio embedding and de-embedding allow for flexible audio routing to and from video devices, ensuring high-quality audio signals through digital AES/EBU input and output. The on-board re-clocker compensates for signal attenuation over long distances, making the VC-1-SC perfect for extended setups. Additionally, the VC-1-SC can be controlled via the VC-1 RCS software application for PC and Mac, providing an intuitive interface for configuring and managing the converter's settings.
