Zo werkt het netwerk:

  1. Bluetoothsignaal: De koffertracker zendt continu een versleuteld Bluetoothsignaal uit. Dit signaal bevat alleen een unieke, tijdelijke identificatiecode die regelmatig verandert voor privacy.

  2. Detectie door andere apparaten: Wanneer een apparaat van hetzelfde ecosysteem (zoals een smartphone of tablet) binnen het bereik van de tracker komt, vangt dit apparaat het signaal op. Het apparaat deelt vervolgens de locatie van de tracker met het netwerk, zonder dat gebruikers van dat apparaat iets zien of weten.

  3. Anonieme locatieupdates: Het apparaat stuurt de locatie van de tracker, versleuteld en anoniem, door naar een beveiligde server. Alleen de eigenaar van de tracker kan deze locatie zien in hun app. Andere apparaten en gebruikers hebben hier geen toegang toe.
