God de Vader zendt Zijn Geest uit om voor Zijn Zoon een bruidskerk te werven en toe te brengen. Christus heeft Zijn Kerk hartelijk lief en gaf Zichzelf voor haar over ‘opdat Hij haar Zichzelven heerlijk zou voorstellen, een gemeente, die geen vlek of rimpel heeft, of iets dergelijks, maar dat zij zou heilig zijn en onberispelijk’.
'Een vrouw voor Izak' is voorzien van sprekende citaten uit De heilige voorzienigheid Gods in het beleid der huwelijken van ds. Lodewijk van Renesse (1599-1671).

Another fun title in this series!

This book (and the other two in this series) are constantly checked out at my elementary school library! I love using these books to teach about opinion writing. The kids love the humor and illustrations! They’re great read-alouds too!
