Uiterlijk van de plant: De Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, ook wel ZZ-plant genoemd, heeft glanzende, donkergroene bladeren die in een sierlijke waaiervorm uit de wortelknol groeien. De bladeren zijn ovaalvormig en stevig, wat de plant een robuuste uitstraling geeft. Deze plant staat bekend om zijn decoratieve, vetplantachtige uiterlijk en kan enkele jaren meegaan zonder veel onderhoud.

Standplaats: De ZZ-plant is bijzonder veelzijdig en kan goed gedijen op een lichte tot halfschaduwrijke plek. Hij kan zowel binnen als buiten worden geplaatst, hoewel hij binnen beter tot zijn recht komt. Vermijd directe zonlicht, omdat dit de bladeren kan beschadigen.

Waterbehoefte: De ZZ-plant heeft weinig water nodig en kan langere tijd zonder water overleven. Laat de aarde tussen de gietbeurten volledig opdrogen. Overbewatering kan leiden tot wortelrot, dus zorg ervoor dat de pot goed kan afvloeien.
