Wist je dat deze plant bij ons inheems is en in het wild groeit? Je kunt sint-janskruid tegenkomen bij straatbermen, graslanden en bosranden. Sint-janskruid heeft stralende gele bloemetjes, die bloeien van juni tot september. Elke bloem bestaat uit vijf bloemblaadjes en is bespikkeld met donkere olieklieren die gevuld zijn met essentiële olie, hars en de rode kleurstof hypericine.
Huidverzorging & massage
St. Janskruid maceraat wordt in de huidverzorging ingezet om het zelfherstellend vermogen van de huid te ondersteunen. Het is een fijne, kalmerende huidolie voor na het zonnen en bij een ruwe of schrale huid. Sint-janskruid is een geliefde olie voor massages om de spieren soepel te houden!
Wat is een maceraat?
De naam maceraat is afkomstig van het Latijnse woord ‘Macerare’, dat letterlijk ‘in de week zetten’ betekent. Macereren is de traditionele manier om essentiële oliën en andere werkzame stoffen uit een plant te gebruiken voor de huid. Voor de maceratie worden de plantendelen een maand of langer geweekt in een goede kwaliteit olijfolie. De glazen potten zijn gesloten en staan in de zon. Geleidelijk geven de bloemen de olie-oplosbare stoffen af aan de olijfolie. Het maceraat wordt steeds roder van kleur. Na deze periode wordt de olie gezeefd en het maceraat is klaar. De kleur van sint-janskruid maceraat moet dieprood zijn bij een goede kwaliteit.
Dit maceraat is een oplossing van 10% sint-janskruid in olijfolie.
Aan dit maceraat is een natuurlijke antioxidant van rozemarijn CO2-extract toegevoegd. Dit biologische CO2-extract is afkomstig uit de naalden van de rozemarijnplant en wordt opgelost in zonnebloemolie. Een klein percentage van deze natuurlijke antioxidant wordt door de boer toegevoegd aan het maceraat. Omdat er bij het maken van een maceraat verse bloemen, bladeren of wortels gebruikt worden zijn maceraten kwetsbaar voor schimmels en andere verontreinigingen. Deze natuurlijke anitoxidant komt de houdbaarheid van het maceraat ten goede!
Werkzame bestanddelen
Hypericum perforatum flower extract, Olea europaea fruit oil, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract, Helianthus annuus seed oil.
Waarschuwingen
Bij inwendig gebruik kan sint-janskruid de werking van medicijnen beïnvloeden. Overleg dus altijd eerst met een arts of apotheker voordat je sint-janskruid inwendig gebruikt.
Let op met de zon wanneer je de huid insmeert met sint-janskruid maceraat, vooral bij een lichte en zonlichtgevoelige huid.
De houdbaarheid van sint-janskruid is ongeveer 1 jaar.

Great package of toys
Color: Curated Dog Puzzle Toys
We have a new rescue dog and she eats too fast so we got these to help slow her meals down, and to give her something to do during downtime. The balls are so fun for her, the puzzle one is cool but she knows how to get the food out now so it doesn't take her long to finish it. The lick pads are nice but I have to place them on a cookie sheet so it doesn't get our hardwood floors oily with peanut butter. I think thos whole bundle is a great value. Side note: do not leave your dog alone with these toys because they will chew them up easily. I take them away once the treats and food are gone.

Not made to last..
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
I got this kit to help entertain our litter of Golden Retrievers as they got bigger, waiting to go to their forever homes. The quality was pretty good. It worked great when they were small, but as they got bigger and stronger, they were able to chew up and destroy the balls, especially the hollow ones. The balls that hold the treats in between the layers help up better, but after 3-4 months I took them away because they started showing teeth marks. The lick pads have lasted, we still have them 6 months later, and the puzzle thing was ok until about a month ago when the puppy we kept learned to pop the sliders off instead of push them to the side. All in all, I’d say it is ok to entertain very small puppies or dogs that don’t chew a lot, but definitely under supervision. Definitely not for aggressive chewers or larger dogs, as the balls are all very small.

Fun set
Color: All-Around Dog Puzzle Toys
Super cute and dog feeding kit with lots of options at a great price. The balls are a little on the flimsy side, but for the price the set is hard to beat. I have a 12 pound dachshund who is a fast eater, but also loves a good challenge. While the toy is not difficult for her to figure out (she is a little to smart for her own good) it does at least slow her down enough that she chews her food some. The sliders on the feeder move around easily which make it easy to clean and refill, but also make it a lot easier for her to get to the food. It is probably comparable to a level one difficulty for anyone who has tried the Outward Hound food toy games.

Very sturdy products esp for my big chewers

My dogs loved these, loved the lick pads as they have suctions, we personally use it for when we are bathing since my dogs hate baths, we just stick it onto the wall. The puzzles were fun which kept them entertained, the balls that had we were able to put treats in them, my dog loved it more as a ball as they are very ball driven. I bought this weeks ago and it’s extremely sturdy. Also easy to clean.
