Wijnbeschrijving

Het wijnhuis Castellucci Miano ligt in het hart van Sicilië, op de hellingen van Madonie in de Valledolmo vallei. Opgericht in 1961 als een coöperatie. De geschiedenis van de wijnbouw in de Valle dell'Olmo gaat terug tot 1570 en halverwege de negentiende eeuw was er een areaal van 530 hectare aan wijngaarden. De wijn die men produceerde werd in de aangrenzende landen verkocht.

Castellucci Miano is nu samengesteld uit ongeveer 125 leden die nu gezamenlijk zo’n 75 hectare bewerken. Bij hun speelt biodiversiteit en terroir een belangrijke rol, deze weg is vooral ingezet door Piero Buffa en Tonino Guzzo. Iedere druif heeft zo zijn eigen terroir gerelateerde kenmerken! Bijna alle wijngaarden liggen tussen de 700 en 1050 meter hoogte. Het wijngoed is erin geslaagd om duurzame landbouw, ervaring en wijntraditie met elkaar te combineren. De bodem (zand klei en kalk) hier is ideaal waardoor er geen kunstmatige irrigatie nodig is. Vlaggenschip van het domein is de Catarratto druif. Producent met het label Slow Wine!

Catarratto is een puur Siciliaans druivenras. Strogeel van kleur met een lichte pareling. Aangename geur met vooral wit fruit (perzik) en citrus. Vruchtvlees van Poire Williams!. Florale impressie van witte bloemen. Vlierbloesem ! Frisse en natuurlijke aanzet in de mond met een medium aciditeit.

Gastronomie: Gerechten met zuren: Ceviche. zoetzure komkommer, makreel van de hibachi met miso cashewnoten dressing, gerookte zalm, Vissoep, schaal- en schelpdieren, lichte visgerechten van de grill, kreeft caprese, gazpacho tomaat makreel, Terrine ger paling & tong / nori /shiitake met gember en yuzu, Consomme shitake gember yuzu met tonijn/ soja  ++++

First a little about me ... I am a 72 year old woman and I don't wear a lot of makeup. I live in Colorado and my skin is dry. Washing my face more than twice a day with soap & water drys my skin out. So I saw this and decided to give it a try. At first I wasn't sure if there was anything on the cloth when I pulled it from it's holder, but evidently there was because it removed all my makeup very easily with just one cloth. I did not have to apply a lot of pressure, just wiped my face softy all over. It didn't seem to dry out my skin on my face or leave a greasy feel behind either. My face even felt less dry when I woke up in the morning. I would imagine depending on how much makeup you wear or what kind, may affect how many wipes you would need. I can see it being very useful for getting rid of eye makeup, but it does say if you get it in your eyes to rinse your eyes thoroughly with water. For me it is a good buy so far. I will update as I continue using it and how my skin feels. 5 out of 5 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 UPDATE: I used this to remove my oil based face paint that I used for my halloween makeup this year (I was a scarecrow) and it came off very nicely. I did use 2 cloths though just to make sure I left no paint residue behind.
