Priorat is onderdeel van Cataloni en is pas enkele decennia een serieus wijngebied te noemen. Vroeger werd het klimaat te heet geacht en de bodem is erg rotsachtig.

Vroeger werd het klimaat te heet geacht en de bodem is erg rotsachtig. Dit werd onmogelijk geacht voor wijnbouw. Echter waren er creatievelingen die de stoute schoenen aantrokken, en zich gingen richten op wijnen uit Priorat. Dit risico heeft zich uitbetaald. Wijnhuis Proyecto Garnachas heeft ook enkele wijngaarden kunnen vergaren in het kostbare Priorat. Zij gaan hier verder met hun missie om een ideaal eerbetoon te geven aan de Garnacha druif. In heel Spanje hebben zij prachtige wijngaarden met allemaal dezelfde druif: de Garnacha. Hierdoor kunnen zij goed de verschillen in de wijngebieden laten zien aan het grote publiek. De druiven voor La Garnatxa Fosca Priorat groeien op een hoogte van ongeveer 350 meter. De ranken zijn extreem oud; soms wel tot 60 jaar! Wanneer de druiven rijp genoeg worden geacht worden zij handmatig geoogst. Alleen op deze manier komen alleen de mooiste druiven in aanmerking om onderdeel te worden van La Garnatxa Fosca Priorat.De geur en smaak van La Garnatxa Fosca Priorat
De houtlagering van deze rode wijn maakt hem zo speciaal. Maar liefst 10 maanden rijpt La Garnatxa Fosca Priorat op Frans eiken. Hierdoor krijgt de wijn lekker veel pit en stevigheid. Dit is goed te ontdekken in de levendige aroma’s. Je ruikt eiken, vanille, mineralen en verse kruiden. De fruitigheid is afwisselend; zowel rood als donker fruit zijn goed te onderscheiden in de geur en smaak van La Garnatxa Fosca Priorat. Excellent and super accurate

I had a precision oxo which was more expensive than this one but not great though, it would register .4 grams suddenly and not sensitive to the 1-2 bean increments. I bought this one for espresso specifically and man it is fantastic so accurate, super responsive, well built, size is great if you want to weigh your shot under your portafilter. I have a fellow series 1 and it’s amazing working with it. Overall highly recommend and for the price it’s amazing great value! Not sure why would I buy a bookoo for $130 or a fellow scale for $200. This one works great for $40

Just a tiny, accurate scale

Works flawlessly after I calibrated it compared to my other. Out of the box it was (very) off. Now it's within .1 of a gram. It's far more responsive than I expected. It's perfect for espresso and it's tiny so it fits on the smallest drip trays.

A really nice scale at a budget price!

Does a really nice job for a budget scale! I had an Amazon basics scale (which works great and I still use!), but I needed/wanted a tenth of a gram for weighing Moka Pot water and coffee. I can put this scale on my water dispenser, measure out exactly what I need, then put the Moka Pot filter (in a glass jigger so it stands up :-) on the scale (with a magnetic espresso funnel) and measure out my coffee. It holds up to daily use and is accurate. Nice job for my first "professional" scale :-)!

Solid little workhorse

A necessity for anyone trying to elevate their espresso making game. I use this to measure my beans and to also measure the shot I pull and how long it takes to pull. It’s great quality and totally worth it. The scale is very quick to start when the shot starts to pull. Easy to use and a great scale.
