Boudewijn Donker Curtius was een bekend jurist en politicus in de Bataafs-Franse tijd. Hij begon zijn loopbaan als advocaat te Den Bosch, maar zou uiteindelijk in de landelijke politiek en de rechtspraak terechtkomen. Zijn verslag over zijn studententijd in Leiden is een unieke beschrijving van het reilen en zeilen van de Academie, de hoogleraren en de colleges. It's okay to cry
Format: Kindle
This picture book beautifully normalizes the reasons why children (and adults) may cry. It passes no judgment and does not belittle. Rather, some of the many reasons for tears are described; these include anger, sadness and happiness among others. Crying is seen as a normal response to being human. At the end of the book, there is additional information, some of it scientific, about tears. The book is sensitively illustrated with gorgeous pictures that enhance the text. This would be a great title to share with a child you know. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this read in exchange for an honest review.

I purchased this product because I was looking for a stretch washcloth to easily wash sunscreen off my back. All of the references in the descriptions to organic cotton are extremely misleading. The handles may be made of cotton but the “washcloth” is plastic and extremely rough. So washcloth is also misleading. It is stretchy - that is accurate. If you want to buy this product, don’t envision a typical washcloth that is bigger with handles because you will be disappointed as I was. The natural fiber scrub pads I bought to scrub my dishes are softer than these stretchy “washcloths”. And I didn’t read the fine print that it cannot be returned so now I am out $30.
