De omega 3-vetzuren EPA en DHA zijn zowel voor de gezondheid van volwassenen als voor kinderen van essentieel belang. Echter kan het een hele uitdaging zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat kinderen dagelijks hun visoliecapsules slikken of om voor hele jonge kinderen de capsules te moeten openmaken. Hier is nu een oplossing voor in de vorm van EPA + DHA Liquid Kids, van visoliespecialist Minami. Dit product bestaat uit vloeibare visolie met een unieke hoge dosering EPA en DHA, aangevuld met vitamine D3. Door de vloeibare vorm en de bijgevoegde maatlepel is het gemakkelijk te doseren, en gemakkelijk in te nemen door kinderen. Verder is er gezorgd voor een prettige smaak door toevoeging van een natuurlijk sinaasappel- en bessenaroma. Bovendien zijn de omega 3-vetzuren in dit product uitsluitend in de triglyceridenvorm, zodat de vetzuren optimaal opneembaar zijn.
Triglyceridenvorm nóg beter opneembaar
EPA + DHA Liquid Kids bevat omega 3-vetzuren in de vorm van zogenoemde herveresterde triglyceriden (ook wel aangeduid als rTG). In een onderzoek waarin de opname van EPA en DHA in de vorm van triglyceriden op de langere termijn werd vergeleken met ethylesters (een andere gebruikelijke vorm van EPA en DHA in visoliepreparaten), bleek de triglyceridenvorm nóg beter opgenomen te worden.
Vitamine D3
EPA + DHA Liquid Kids bevat eveneens vitamine D3. Niet te veel zodat het product nog goed te gebruiken is naast een multivitamine voor kinderen. Vitamine D wordt ook wel de zonnevitamine genoemd. Het wordt aangemaakt in de huid onder invloed van zonlicht. Vitamine D komt helaas maar in beperkte hoeveelheden in voeding voor en bovendien schijnt de zon in Nederland vaak niet voldoende. Daarom is een vitamine D-supplement (in de superieure vorm van D3) voor veel volwassenen en kinderen zeker aan te bevelen. Vitamine D draagt bij aan de normale functie van het immuunsysteem van kinderen en is nodig voor een normale groei en ontwikkeling van de botten van kinderen.
Minami
Minami is een internationaal visolie-merk dat in Nederland wordt gedistribueerd door Vitals. Minami en Vitals hebben elkaar gevonden door een gedeelde ambitie om voedingssupplementen aan te bieden van de hoogste zuiverheid en kwaliteit. De basis van elk Minami-product bestaat uit hoogwaardige omega 3-vetzuren (uit visolie of uit algen). Minami gebruikt hiervoor een gepatenteerde milieuvriendelijke productiemethode (superkritische CO2-extractie). Hierdoor worden zeer hoge doseringen omega 3 en een niet te evenaren zuiverheid bereikt. Superkritische CO2-extractie vindt plaats bij lagere temperaturen. Dat is van groot belang voor het behouden van de gunstige eigenschappen van de kwetsbare onverzadigde omega 3-vetzuren. Daarnaast worden er bij CO2-extractie geen chemische oplosmiddelen gebruikt, die anders in de olie achter zouden kunnen blijven. De producten van Minami staan bekend om de uitzonderlijk hoge kwaliteit en zuiverheid. Bij elke productie wordt door externe laboratoria de zuiverheid geanalyseerd. Zeker bij visolie is deze zorgvuldigheid heel erg belangrijk, omdat vis tegenwoordig helaas verontreinigingen kan bevatten door vervuiling van zeewater.

Good Space Savings, but the Bag Zippers don't hold very well

I purchased these Vacbird travel vacuum bags mainly to save space in carry-on luggage and cruise packing, and the overall concept works well. The included rechargeable air pump is compact and convenient for travel, and the compression bags can significantly reduce the amount of space taken up by clothing and soft items when sealed properly.
The bags themselves are easy to fill and compress, and they can definitely help organize luggage more efficiently for longer trips. For bulky clothing like jackets, sweatshirts, or extra layers, the space savings are noticeable. The rechargeable pump is also more convenient than manually rolling air out of the bags repeatedly.
The reason this isn’t a higher rating is the zipper closure quality. The zippers feel much weaker than they should for a product designed around repeated compression and travel handling. Several closures required extra care to avoid separating or leaking air, which reduces confidence in long-term durability. The system works, but the zipper design feels like the weak point and keeps the product from feeling as reliable as it otherwise could be.

Small fan, serious power

I bought the Honeywell Turboforce Fan for my bedroom, and I’m honestly impressed with how powerful this little thing is. Don’t let the compact size fool you — it moves a lot of air. On the lowest setting it’s perfect for a gentle breeze while sleeping, and the higher settings can easily cool down a medium-sized room or help circulate AC much more efficiently.
The 90-degree pivoting head is a great feature. I can angle it upward for better air circulation or point it directly at me when it’s extra hot. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and doesn’t take up much space on a desk or nightstand. It can also be wall-mounted, which is a nice bonus.
Noise level is reasonable. On low, it’s actually a pleasant white noise. Medium and high are louder, but not in an annoying way — just the sound of strong airflow.
Build quality feels solid for the price, and it’s been running daily without any issues. For the cost, this fan seriously overperforms.
If you need a compact, affordable, and powerful fan, this is a no-brainer. I’d absolutely buy it again.

Great price and very quiet

I use the Honeywell TurboForce HT-900 in my home office to help with airflow around my computer setup, and it’s been a solid performer for the price.
Despite its small size, it moves a surprising amount of air. On high, it pushes a strong, focused stream that actually reaches across the room. Medium is what I use most often since it balances good circulation with reasonable noise, and low is quiet enough to run in the background without being distracting.
Noise levels are generally acceptable. Low and medium are fairly quiet with a consistent hum, while high is noticeably louder but still not unbearable for short bursts.
It’s also very simple to position and use. The head tilts easily, so you can aim airflow exactly where you need it, and the compact size makes it easy to place on a desk without taking up much space.
Overall, it’s a straightforward, no-frills fan that does its job well. Strong airflow, simple controls, and good value for the price.

Powerful and long lasting

I purchased a blue colored one in May 2022 and it finally went out a few days ago. I ran this thing almost constantly as im going through menopause and it came to be a staple at my bedside. 4 years of running ALL THE TIME! Great little fan with a ton of airflow to keep me cool during night sweats. And it has just enough white noise to distract from outside noise. Also, the motor power never differentiated after using for so long. It was still strong. I just ordered another one to replace it and cant wait for it to arrive so I can sleep again! Only thing is they only have bakck or white instead of blue this time but thats ok as long as it performs.
