Deze houten kist van Castello di Neive bevat drie flessen Barbaresco Riserva Albesani Vigna Santo Stefano, elk uit een ander wijnjaar: 2016, 2017 en 2018. Wat maakt zo’n verticale set bijzonder? Je proeft hetzelfde perceel en dezelfde vinificatie, maar ziet direct hoe verschillende jaargangen het karakter van Nebbiolo beïnvloeden. Dit is een unieke kans om de evolutie van Albesani Vigna Santo Stefano naast elkaar te ervaren.

Alle drie de wijnen zijn volledig gemaakt van Nebbiolo en voldoen aan de Riserva-eisen van Barbaresco DOCG, met minimaal 50 maanden rijping waarvan ten minste 9 maanden op hout.

Herkomst: Albesani – Vigna Santo Stefano, Neive

De wijngaard Santo Stefano ligt binnen de MGA Albesani in de gemeente Neive, een van de meest gerespecteerde cru’s van Barbaresco.

  • Albesani MGA, Neive: historisch erkende herkomst binnen Barbaresco DOCG.

  • Vigna Santo Stefano: perceel met reputatie voor structuur en verfijning.

  • Zuidwestelijke expositie: optimale fenolische rijping van Nebbiolo.

  • Kalkrijke mergelbodems: geven spanning, diepte en aromatische precisie.

De drie jaargangen naast elkaar

Nebbiolo – Albesani Vigna Santo Stefano, Neive
Nebbiolo is een laatrijpende druif met hoge zuurgraad en uitgesproken tanninestructuur. De verschillen tussen de jaren laten zien hoe terroir en klimaat samen het eindresultaat bepalen.

  • 2016: wordt beschouwd als een klassiek en groot jaar in Barbaresco. Evenwichtige weersomstandigheden zorgden voor perfecte rijpheid, concentratie en lange bewaarkracht.

  • 2017: een warmer, droger jaar met geconcentreerd fruit en rijpe, krachtige tannines. De wijnen tonen meer directe intensiteit.

  • 2018: een jaar met meer frisheid en elegantie, waarbij balans en aromatische finesse centraal staan.

Samen vormen deze drie flessen een compleet beeld van de cru Albesani over opeenvolgende jaren.

Karakter en bewaarpotentieel

In het glas tonen de wijnen granaatrode tinten die zich verder ontwikkelen met rijping. Typische aroma’s zijn rood fruit, rozen, specerijen en aardse nuances. Dankzij de lange rijping en natuurlijke structuur van Nebbiolo beschikken alle drie de jaargangen over aanzienlijk bewaarpotentieel, waarbij ze zich elk op hun eigen manier verder ontwikkelen.

Serveer rond 16–18 °C om structuur en aromatische diepte optimaal tot hun recht te laten komen.

This is a very comprehensive and jam-packed book (for example, it has information like how to end toothbrushing struggles!). I like that it has so many practical ideas on how to help your toddler navigate life! It is a lot thicker than I expected but the pages are designed in a very eye-friendly way that keep it from feeling like a long read. I do feel like some of the advice is contradictory, which is why I knocked one star off. I also feel like she promotes more talking than is really helpful for toddlers (toddlers can't reason and so over-talking often just confuses them - Dr. Karp has written a lot on this in his book.) But overall it's a very good book with a lot of good principles for the average toddler! As a mom of a 20-month old, I highly recommend you read this book! You will be enlightened on your toddler's behavior and reassured that they are very normal!

We were blessed when our daughter arrived and her feet will be the only ones that go pitter-patter. Do your whole family a favor and check this book out.
