Al palato è di corpo pieno, con una trama tannica vellutata e un'ottima persistenza.La Barbera d'Asti DOCG "L'Altra" di Castello Banfi, ottenuta a seguito di una fermentazione alcolica a contatto con le bucce per 5-7 giorni e poi una malolattica condotta in parte in barriques e in parte in acciaio, si mostra, fin da subito di bella struttura, piacevole al naso e appagante al sorso, adatta ad allietare svariate occasioni.
Ottimo in abbinamento a primi piatti con sughi strutturati, come un buon risotto ai funghi porcini, si sposa bene con i secondi di carne rossa.
