The color is very versitile. The wood feels durable and not a soft wood that would easily scratch or dent. The faux leather lining is very nice and makes it quiet when hubs puts his keys down. This tray comes with 4 feet which one must apply by simply peeling the release paper and sticking to the bottom of the tray. This is nice so the tray does not scratch the night stand. Honestly, this tray is very versitile as this can definately be used on an end table in the office or in the bathroom to corral items on the counter top. This is a decent product at a very fair price.
