Product story: Finnish-Korean design-duo COMPANY designed the Secrets of Finland product family for the FIN/JPN friendship collection at Artek. The product family consists of six handmade ceramic objects, each of which reflects a Finnish ritual associated with the season. In deepest December, Lucia the light-bringer triumphs over darkness. In Finland, thousands of girls dress up as Lucia and take part in a candlelit procession through the streets, proclaiming the victory of hope and love over despair, and remembering that even a small light can drive away the darkness. The Lucius Candleholder is a smaller companion to the Lucia Candleholder.
