Het toestel werkt met een optisch detectiesysteem waarbij een lichtstraal continu de lucht controleert. Zodra rookdeeltjes de straal onderbreken, klinkt het alarm. De rookmelder beschikt over een geïntegreerde batterij met een levensduur van 10 jaar, waardoor je langdurig beschermd bent zonder batterijen te moeten vervangen. Dit model is een standalone rookmelder en kan niet gekoppeld worden met andere toestellen.

De buitenzijde is afgewerkt met Gabriel® stof, gemaakt uit 99% gerecycleerd polyester. De kleuren zijn geïnspireerd op de Scandinavische natuur, wat zorgt voor een rustige en tijdloze uitstraling die mooi aansluit bij verschillende interieurstijlen.

Voor een optimale werking plaats je de rookmelder bij voorkeur aan het plafond, minstens 50 cm van muren, deuren of ramen. Vermijd montage dicht bij keuken, badkamer of houtkachel om valse alarmen te voorkomen. Test het toestel regelmatig en vervang de rookmelder na ongeveer 10 jaar.
