De 5 tot 15 meter lange lijn geeft de hond voldoende bewegingsvrijheid om te snuffelen en rond te snuffelen, maar laat hem niet aan zijn lot over. Als de hond van het pad afdwaalt of een dier wil achtervolgen, kun je hem op elk moment terugbrengen dankzij de robuuste hondenriem.

Dit geeft je zekerheid en is een goede training als je je hond later los wilt laten lopen. Een sleepriem is ook ideaal om commando's op afstand te oefenen. De rubberen singel biedt extra grip bij het vasthouden van de riem en helpt als er meer kracht nodig is om het dier te apporteren.

First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.
