Justino’s Madeira is één van de oudste spelers en behoort tot de top van Madeira. Ze werken volgens de traditionele canteiro methode, met zorgvuldig geselecteerde druiven en eikenopslag, en combineren ambacht met moderne visie. Dankzij dit vakmanschap worden hun colheita-wijnen alom geprezen om hun balans, finesse en karakter.

Een Colheita Madeira is een wijn van één enkel oogstjaar, minimaal 5 jaar gerijpt - meestal nog langer - volgens de traditionele canteiro methode. Dit geeft de wijn zijn kenmerkende complexiteit: tonen van gedroogd fruit, noten, karamel en een levendige frisheid. Colheita’s zijn toegankelijker dan een Frasqueira Madeira (minimaal 20 jaar gerijpt), maar bieden dezelfde diepgang en elegantie.

Verdelho staat bekend om zijn medium-droge stijl en is een wijn voor wie houdt van finesse en levendigheid. In het glas ontdek je aroma’s van sinaasappelzeste, tropisch fruit, gedroogd fruit, geroosterde noten en een lichte mineraliteit. De smaak is gelaagd: een mooie spanning tussen zachte fruitigheid en frisse zuren, met een kruidige toets die de afdronk elegant verlengt. Dit is een Madeira die niet alleen als aperitief schittert, maar ook veelzijdig inzetbaar is aan tafel.

De zachte, delicate en elegante fruittonen van deze halfdroge Madeira maken hem geschikt om licht gekoeld te serveren als aperitief, bij olijven, geroosterde amandelen, sushi, kaviaar, tonijn, lichte soepen, salades, (gedroogde) ham, gedroogd fruit en noten zoals amandelen en walnoten.

These were incredible for our recent flight to Tampa. I’m an overpacker by nature, and we normally have to check at least one bag, but these completely changed that. We were able to fit everything into our carry-ons and backpacks with room to spare, which even saved us from paying a checked bag fee. As long as they’re fully sealed, they stay compressed and don’t slowly let air back in. We unpacked everything at the hotel and stored the empty bags in our suitcases, then reused them to pack for the trip home with no issues. The vacuum isn’t silent, but it’s not overly loud either. I’d compare it to being quieter than a typical hair dryer. This is such a game changer for travel and saving space. I’ll definitely be using these for every trip.
