De US224 is een USB-apparaat met twee poorten waarmee randapparatuur gedeeld kan worden. 2 computers kunnen 4 USB-apparaten delen een toetsenbord, muis en tot aan twee stuks randapparatuur. Dit bespaart de extra kosten die gemaakt worden wanneer voor elke computer een afzonderlijk USB-toetsenbord, muis en andere randapparatuur wordt aangeschaft. Het alles-in-een ontwerp van de US224 maakt een nette en opgeruimde installatie mogelijk het is niet langer nodig om 2 afzonderlijke USB-kabels op de computer aan te sluiten, wat de warboel van kabels reduceert.
