Hierdoor is de uiteindelijke oogst van de Sauvignon Blanc druiven uniek en hebben ze veel kracht kunnen opbouwen van de prachtige leef omgeving. De oude ranken van wel 40 jaar staan aangeplant in een voedzame bodem vol kalk en andere mooie eigenschappen. Dit alles is belangrijk om een geweldige Sauvignon Blanc te verbouwen, nou dat is gelukt en ze worden deels met de hand geoogst. Zo komen alleen de beste trossen in de fles terecht en dat merken we in de pure zuivere stijl van deze witte wijn.Gibault Sauvignon Blanc Touraine Vol en zeer krachtig
De oogst van Domaine Gibault is erg bekend in de gehele Touraine regio, uitermate verfijnde trossen die in kleine kratjes worden vervoerd naar de pers. Bij aankomst van de druiven worden ze nogmaals gecontroleerd en de beste trossen worden zeer zachtjes geperst. Het mooie frisse sap is echt van hoge kwaliteit. Is het geen Sancerre? Nee dat niet maar het heeft wel wat kenmerken van de iconische wijn uit de Loire. De gehele wijn rijpt erg lang in de kelders van Domaine Gibault om zo veel mogelijk rijke smaken op te bouwen. In alle rust wordt de wijn tot het eindresultaat gebracht, en det merken we maar al te goed.De geuren en smaken van Domaine Gibault Sauvignon Blanc Touraine
Dat proeven we terug in deze witte wijn want hij is zuiver en ongekend fris en rijp in zowel de smaak als de geur, echt een knap staaltje vakwerk van de familie Gibault. Kort samengevat een geweldige Loire wijn, gemaakt van Sauvignon Blanc druiven. Daar door is deze Gibault Sauvignon Blanc een zeer aromatische wijn met een optimale fruitconcentratie. In de geur aroma's van groene appeltjes en buxus. Heel fris en vriendelijk, sappig en smakelijk. Verder heeft deze Gibault Sauvignon Blanc Touraine hinten van fris wit fruit, appel en peer en een beetje citrus schillen! De afdronk is rijk aan minerale tonen en heerlijk fris.Shipping Notes

Camino memories relived

I returned from my first Camino trip and I was wanting to stay in touch with everything related to the Camino - the friends I made there, movies on YouTube, and podcasts. It was from the podcast that I learned about Brad. He has been a constant companion to me, as I went through my own Camino 'withdrawl.' Luckily for me, after a couple of weeks from been back from the Camino, I am already able to schedule my next one. Brad's book brought back all the memories, and he put into great narrative and humor all the amazing and magical things that happen during the Camino, including also the challenges, the crying and the laughing. I am very grateful for this book.

Soccer, Songs and Sex

Heading to the Camino myself....I've been reading other accounts of it, more so since my plans have had to be put on hold due to COVID19. I purchased a pile of recommendations from others on a social media site, sat up one night, researching the favorites of others. My list only had those that had humor! Brad's book has humor and I love that he, being a songwriter, utilized his talent for putting sentences together, creating a canvas of texture with descriptions, which kept me turning pages. I loved reading about his self discovery, his growth through his business, family life, athletic life, social life, and finding a balance eventually, although the reader can certainly see he teetered A LOT! The downside was that he felt it important to share the sexual experiences, of others and himself. TMI, as a generation behind me would say. It wasn't needed. His adventure was fabulous without it. If Brad ever did a rewrite, I would suggest he leave that out so more age groups could be inspired by his journey! It won't be the first book I'd recommend if anyone asked me what to read about Camino adventures, but I won't say not to read it if it comes up in conversation.

Definitely not my favorite
Format: Paperback
It was ok as far as Camino memoirs go. Not my favorite and probably won't reread/listen again, like I have several others. The author seemed to like to make fun of people and objectify women. I kept hoping there'd be some kind of epiphany, but the closest we get is when he is relaying a life changing conversation he'd had with someone the previous evening where he learned he needs to see the good in people, but minutes before he'd spent a lengthy time ranting and complaining and disparaging "plastic pilgrims."
I listened to the whole thing because I was hoping for some redemption, but didn't witness any.

Buen camino !

This book had me hooked from page one. Brad writes in way that brings every scene, character and emotion to life.
I loved that his writing style is so original.
He is transparent, honest, funny, and thought provoking.
I have had thoughts of one day walking the Camino, The only Way West has made me both terrified and excited to perhaps do it one day.
I hope we get to see more of this quirky author.
