Er is hierbij aangegeven in verschillende kleur kabels welke bedrading gebruikt moet worden op de 230V en welke voor 12V. bij het uitvallen van een zekering (groep) heeft dit geen effect op andere groepen, deze kunnen dus gewoon in werking blijven. De PDU kit bevat ook een controlepaneel die vanaf een afstand bediend kan worden. Je kan hiermee de status checken en ook functies aan of uitschakelen als dat nodig is. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld de binnen- en buitenverlichting in 1 keer in- en uitschakelen. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om een extra accu bij te laden dankzij een ingebouwd scheidingsrelais. Dit relais zorgt ervoor dat de huishoud accu wordt opgeladen zonder dat de startaccu leeg raakt. Het bijladen van de accu gebeurd met een maximale spanning van 13.8 volt. Verder is het ook mogelijk om de Haba PDU kit te gebruiken als omvormer! Deze omvormer maakt van 230 volt 12 volt. De omvormer levert een maximale stroomsterkte van 10 ampère en heeft een maximaal vermogen van 120 watt. This is soooooo very cool to use. It allows me to use it in so many other sockets that I could never really use due to their location. It makes it easy to swivel the plug to the position needed. It is sturdy, a good price, and the cord length is just right. I will carry one in each of my backpacks & computer bags, as well as it will replace most of my extensions.
The weight was right so that I could put it in my backpacks and having all of the outlets makes it very useful.
