De Comme des Garçons Wallet SA2100 is gemaakt van Arecalf-kalfsleer, een premium kalfshuid die bekendstaat om zijn fijne, egale korrel en zijn zachte aanraking. Kalfsleer is de meest gewaardeerde leerhuid in de klassieke lederwaren-categorie vanwege zijn uniformiteit in structuur en zijn levensduur bij dagelijks gebruik. De SA2100 is het kernmodel binnen de Comme des Garçons Wallet-lijn: een compacte bifold-portemonnee met een formaat van 12 x 10 x 2 cm dat in een borstzak past zonder zichtbaar te zijn. De kleur is Zwart, wat bij een portemonnee van deze kwaliteit de meest tijdloze keuze is. De binnenzijde heeft meerdere kaarthouders en een briefjescompartiment. Het exterieur is ongecompliceerd: geen decoratieve stiksels, geen zichtbare logo's, alleen het leer en de constructie. Comme des Garçons Wallet produceert in Spanje, wat in de lederwaren-categorie een kwaliteitsmarkering is voor handmatige afwerking en nauwkeurige snijding. De SA2100 is al jaren het referentiemodel van het label en is in die tijd niet wezenlijk veranderd, omdat het niet hoefde.

De SA2100 past in een standaard borstzak of broekzak. De bifold-sluiting geeft directe toegang tot kaarten en briefjes zonder extra lagen. Het Arecalf-kalfsleer is gevoelig voor vocht in de beginfase: vermijd langdurig nat worden en behandel het leer jaarlijks met een kleurloze leerverzorger om de structuur soepel te houden. Zwart kalfsleer verbergt gebruikslijtage goed maar profiteert van regelmatig afvegen met een droge leerherstellende doek.

De Zwarte SA2100 is de portemonnee waarvoor je geen reden hoeft te geven. Het leer, het formaat en de afwezigheid van opsmuk spreken voor zich. Op het moment dat je hem uit je zak haalt naast een gemiddeld alternatief is het verschil meteen zichtbaar — niet door een logo maar door de kwaliteit van het oppervlak.

Comme des Garçons Wallet is het accessoirelabel van het in 1969 opgerichte merk van Rei Kawakubo. De SA2100 belichaamt de filosofie van het sublabel: geen overbodige decoratie, alleen wat functioneel noodzakelijk is, zo goed mogelijk gemaakt.

Perfect chair!

I love this chair! Was hesitant to buy due to the price being a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I work from home and have terrible posture from sitting at my desk all day, so I needed something that would be conducive to helping me sit up properly. I put the chair together myself, it was heavy but overall pretty easy to do. The tools provided worked great and the directions were clear. Aesthetically, it’s a lovely neutral color and everyone who has seen it so far has complimented me and on how nice it is and how comfortable it looks — Indeed it’s a very expensive looking chair. The first time I sat on it I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it….maybe something about the lumbar support seeming to protrude too much? At any rate, I gave it a couple of days and I absolutely LOVE it. I can already feel my posture improving, no backaches and I’m perfectly comfortable all day long. I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. It seems to be very well made, so I’m confident it will last a very long time and be worth the price. I HIGHLY recommend this chair!

UPDATE: DEFECTIVE… it was a Great chair... a bit short for tall people!

I purchased this chair four years ago and really liked it. However, when it was damaged during a move, I attempted to replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement chair had a construction issue that had been repeatedly mentioned in numerous comments spanning over a year at least. This defect prevents the chair from being completely assembled, rendering it unusable (screw holes don’t line up). Amazon has failed to address this issue by removing these defective chairs from its inventory. You won’t be aware of this problem until you’ve almost completed assembling the chair. At that point, you’ll have to disassemble it, rebox it, and return the box to UPS. This is an incredibly inconvenient process, and Amazon must take immediate action to rectify this issue before anyone considers purchasing this chair again. Old review from 2023: Based on someone else's review, it would seem that this chair is perfect for average-height people but less great for those of us who are a bit tall or (according to her) a bit short. I'm 5'9 with most of my height in my legs. I like a chair to be tall enough that my legs can be straight to the floor from my knees to my feet and still have support under my knees. This chair is too short for that, even at it's highest setting, but it can be fixed with a simple replacement of the gas lift cylinder for a mere $20 (search for gas lift cylinder on Amazon). And the extra $20 is worth it because other than that one issue, this chair is great. My first experience with this chair was at work when the firm replaced all of our desk chairs. I loved it so much that I bought it for myself when I went into private practice. The lumbar support hits in just the right spot and moves with your body as you lean in and out. I love the cream color, and the seat is padded nicely. I especially love the liftable arms. I sit at my desk for 8+ hours straight 5-6 days a week, and I never have body pain-- Granted, I am only 36, but I have definitely experienced this with other office chairs that claimed to be "ergonomic". With a simple lift cylinder replacement and a movable standing desk (which I never actually stand at), I can finally sit at my desk without my knees hitting the underside of the desk or my legs having to be extended out to have support under my knees. These two things mean that I don't slump at my desk anymore, and my neck and back thank me! :)

Suprised there isn’t an adjustment for that. I would have discovered all of this if I was able to try it out before hand but the mass positive rating don’t mention these issues.
