Productinformatie

Ilex meserveae 'Blue Angel' is een vrouwelijke cultivar van de blauwe hulst soort. De Blue Angel heeft een zeer luxueuze uitstraling. Dit komt allereerst doordat de vrouwelijke blauwe hulst een erg compacte vorm bezit. Daarnaast bezit de hulst Blue Angel de mooie paarse twijgen waar het blad aan groeit. Verder heeft de Ilex meserveae 'Blue Angel' donkergroene ovaalvormige bladeren met een glanzende blauwe gloed. In mei en juni bloeit deze vrouwelijke hulst met kleine witgroene bloempjes. Hier zijn de bijen dol op! Het is een redelijk traag groeiende heester. Als de Blue Angel in de buurt staat van de mannelijke blauwe hulst (Ilex meserveae 'Blue Prince') komen er in de herfst mooie grote felrode bessen aan de plant. Dit komt doordat de mannelijke plant de vrouwelijke bestuift. De vogels zijn hier dol op! De trosjes met bessen van de hulst Blue Angel zijn ideaal om te gebruiken voor kersstukjes. De Ilex meserveae 'Blue Angel' is verder ook wintergroen en zeer winterhard. Zoals je op de foto's kan zien verkopen we bij Plant Delivery een erg compacte variant van de hulst Blue Angel.

 

 

Snoeien

De Ilex meserveae 'Blue Angel' kan uitgroeien tot zo'n 3 meter. De vrouwelijke cultivar van de blauwe hulst verdraagt snoei goed waardoor elke gewenste hoogte mogelijk is. De Blue Angel haag kun je het beste één keer in het voorjaar en één keer in het najaar snoeien. Hierdoor creëer je een nog compacte haag. De hulst Blue Angel is hierdoor ook te gebruiken om in een vorm te snoeien zoals een bol of een kegel. Je zou de hulst Blue Angel ook solitair kunnen gebruiken. Dan is snoei niet perse noodzakelijk. Toch is het wel vaak mooi om de hulst, ook al gebruik je hem solitair, minimaal één keer te snoeien. Hierdoor blijft de plant vertakken en wordt hij compacter. We adviseren om tijdens het snoeien handschoenen aan te doen aangezien de hulst Blue Angel stekelig blad heeft. 

 

 

Standplaats & aanplanten

De standplaats van de Blue Angel dient een zonnige of half beschaduwde plek in de tuin te zijn. Het liefst geen plek in de schaduw. Verder dient de plant op een goed doorlatende bodem te staan, met voorkeur niet te kalkrijk. Als je wil dat de Blue Angel besjes krijgt is het noodzakelijk om de vrouwelijke cultivar te combineren met de mannelijke variant (Ilex meserveae 'Blue Prince'). De richtlijn die we hiervoor aanhouden is ongeveer één mannelijke variant tussen vijf vrouwelijke varianten planten. De hoeveelheid planten per strekkende meter is afhankelijk van de hoogte. Dit is te zien in de tabel boven de productinformatie. Voor de bemesting van de hulst Blue Angel haag raden we het aan om onze wormencompost te gebruiken. De wormencompost zorgt namelijk voor gezondheid in uw bodem en stimuleert het bodemleven. Daarnaast biedt het ook voeding voor de Ilex meserveae 'Blue Angel'.

Hard to keep on the shelf
Yesyesyesyes Imo it's the perfect male equivalent of a Honeypot wipe. It's also rock solid for drying out oily skin but to me it's kind of expensive to use it like that. Easily my favorite out of all the Thayers tonics. The serum is also really good for converting red patches into poppable pimples which then just leave, and the sulfur cream is just invaluable as a leave-on make-up/healing combo. Thayers is good stuff man. It's a billion times healthier than benzoyl peroxide or adapalene and even SA is pretty rough on the skin in therapeutic doses. Thayers does such a good job of balancing herbs and gentle chemicals to provide a uniquely safe yet effective remedy, across the board. The only thing that was a genuine flop from them for me was the rosewater tonic, which smelled like God.

Game changer!!
This stuff is amazing! I bought it because there was somewhat of a trend online saying glycolic acid is great for girls with sensitive skin. I’m inclined to agree because I have very dry, sensitive skin and this product works very well on my face and my legs (post shave). This is meant to lightly exfoliate the skin, so if you’ve just shaved your face or skin, a day later, this is great to put on to help prevent any irritation. Also, this is good for dry skin! When I have some dry patches on my face, I buff the dead skin off very gently but thoroughly. Then I use this toner to help prevent it from coming back. I was skeptical this would work because my skin is so extremely dry sometimes, but it really works! It was perfect for doing my makeup with. I use it every once in a while if I need any extra exfoliating. Do bear in mind, though, it smells really bad. I think it’s the witch hazel or something, but the product by itself smells quite gross. Definitely put lotion on a few minutes after it absorbs into the skin. This is a great product and I’m very happy with it. 10/10 when used wisely.

NOT a "dupe" but has the same results.
I am NOT saying this is a "dupe" or that they are the same in any way because they definitely have different ingredient profiles... so don't come for me... But what I will say is that if you like the first aid beauty radiance pads but don't like the price tag then this may be a cheaper option for you. This is my second bottle of this toner and 3rd tub of pads and for me personally they perform the same. The Thayers is a little stronger of an exfoliant so if you have sensitive or dry skin do a patch test to see how your skin handles it. I use it in the morning after I wash my face. It gives my skin a nice glow, removes dead skin and anything left over after washing my face and just like the radiance pads helps my makeup lay so much better. I have cotton tissues that are smooth on 1 side and textured on the other that I use instead of cotton rounds. I pair it with the Thayers milky toner, maybe some other hydrating toners, a serum, a gel moisturizer and always SPF and even without makeup my skin looks amazing and healthy all day. This is also a 12oz bottle and lasts a long time because you don't need to use a lot for it to do it's job.
