Château La Grolet is net als Château Peybonhomme-les-Tours eigendom van vijfde generatie wijnmakers Catherine en Jean Luc Hubert. De twee châteaux liggen niet ver van elkaar vandaan, maar wel net in een andere AOC. La Grolet ligt in Côtes de Bourg.

Château La Grolet ligt in de Franse gemeente Saint-Ciers-De-Canesse in het schitterende landschap van de Côte de Bourg. Château La Grolet strekt zich uit over 54 hectare landerijen waarvan 38 hectare beplant is met rode druiven. In de overige hectaren vind je nog de onveranderde natuurlijke structuur van eeuwen geleden terug met haar natuurlijke weilanden, bossen, beekjes en bronnen. De wijngaarden zijn verdeeld in kleine terrassen en steile hellingen. Château La Grolet is er dan ook trots op om de naam Côtes de Bourg te dragen in een landschap dat ook wel “Klein Zwitserland van Gironde” wordt genoemd. De Côtes de Bourg wordt gewaardeerd als Bordeaux appellation met een sterke persoonlijkheid.

Château La Grolet is momenteel nog biologisch gecertificeerd maar zijn bezig om net als Château Peybonhomme-les-Tours volledig biodynamisch te werken.

Druivensoort(en): 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec 
In de wijngaard: Grind terroir, gemiddelde leeftijd van de ranken is 55 jaar oud. Oogts met de hand. Biologische, biodynamische landbouw.
In de wijnkelder: Enkel het gebruik van inheemse gisten. na de fermentatie nog 2 weken schilweking. Rijping op nieuwe houten vaten gedurende 1 jaar.
