Al palato è ricco, avvolgente, vellutato, in perfetto equilibrio fra acidità, sapidità e tannicità. Chiude con un finale caldo, dove si riscontrano le sensazioni già avvertite al naso.Il vertice della piramide qualitativa della DOCG Chianti Classico è rappresentato dalla dicitura Gran Selezione, riservata a quei prodotti che rispettano severe regole inerenti ai vigneti da utilizzare e al periodo di affinamento minimo da portare a termine. Questo Vigneto di Campolungo è quindi una delle etichette di punta della produzione dellazienda Lamole di Lamole: austero ed equilibrato, presenta una complessità aromatica e una profondità gustativa difficili da eguagliare. Le uve di sangiovese, a cui si aggiunge una piccola percentuale di cabernet sauvignon, fermentano in acciaio alla temperatura di 22-26 °C, per poi affinare in botti per 30 mesi. Lorgoglio della Toscana e di tutta lenologia italiana non è mai stato così a portata di mano: approfittatene!
Perfetto a tutto basto, è ideale per accompagnare egregiamente paste ripiene di carne, come i ravioli, e secondi piatti a base di carne e selvaggina. Ottimo anche con i formaggi stagionati, è da urlo con il cinghiale in umido.

Not for the squeamish...

Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Mr Hancock's previous books,. I have purchased and five-starred most of them. His books are well researched, well written,lucid, and a pleasure to read. Also let me freely confess that I'm a total wimp when it comes to blood-letting, have been known to faint at the sight of blood. (delicate female here, LOL!) Anyways, while I'm sure that this book is, like all of his others, well written and interesting, I just couldn't get past the gore. Sorry, Graham -- not your fault, it's my own weakness. I really struggle with the star-rating thing here. Since the weakness is mine, and I know he's such a good writer, I'll do four stars instead of three or five -- that seems like a reasonable compromise. Hopefully he'll write another series in future that stars the good "gods" instead of the bad ones.

Graham Hancock has done it! He has mastered non-fiction AND fiction!

Oh, oh, oh this is such a good book! I love Graham Hancock's non-fiction books to begin with, but this is exactly what I needed after the Game of Thrones series. After I was done, I made anyone I could read it. It was inthralling, brutal, bloody, heart wrenching and a page turner. I blew through this book and quickly ordered the second book. I love the mixture of a more fantasy style storyline and a bit of historical accuracy ( I'm not sure how much is based in fact, but I noted a few things that I have studied in the past) This is the kind of book that keeps you locked in page after page, making every chapter "the last chapter", until you realize you have read the book in 2 sittings. Love, love this book and it sequel, and can't wait for the third installment. ( I have recently purchased his second ( or first, as I am not sure which one came first) novel Entangled, and I am ecstatic to read and review that one as I hold out for the third installment of this series. While I love his non-fiction books, these are amazing, and I hope he continues writing fiction novels.

We use this for many things but we live in hurriccane territory and they are the best analyzer of the season every year. Love their plant help, I couldn't do without it. They also have the best articles with information I can get nowhere else.

Great book and an interesting read
Format: Hardcover
Just got interested in the Farmer's Almanac last year (2025) and decided the money was well worth it. The book contains lots of information and the accuracy of the weather predictions aren't too far off. After purchasing 2026, I heard a rumor that this will be the last year for publication. I'm hoping it was a false rumor.
