Zo race je niet alleen door de modder, maar ook over autobanden, rotsen, waterpoelen en zelfs boomstammen.

In MX vs. ATV Untamed worden acht verschillende offroad racestijlen gecombineerd zoals SuperMoto, Opencross, Supercross, Waypoint en Endurocross. EnduroCross is een indoorevenement dat meer om techniek draait dan om snelheid. Met een MX-motor of ATV-quad is het de bedoeling om een parkoers af te leggen dat bezaaid is met allerlei obstakels. Zo race je niet alleen door de modder, maar ook over autobanden, rotsen, waterpoelen en zelfs boomstammen.

Opencross is een outdoorevenement waarin je dwars door moerassen, ruige rivieren en woestijnduinen kunt scheuren. Naast motors en quads spelen duinbuggies, trophy trucks, sandrails, ORV's, golfkarts en zelfs monster trucks een hoofdrol. De buitenomgevingen zijn groot en de races duren daardoor lang. De parkoersen bevatten bovendien allerlei shortcuts, waardoor de races afwisselender worden.
