De robuuste aluminium openingsmelder is een magneetcontact waarmee grotere deuren (bv. garages) worden beveiligd. Onbevoegd openen wordt gedetecteerd en aan de draadloze alarmcentrale doorgegeven.Deze openingsmelder is ideaal voor montage op stalen en metalen deuren. De speciale constructie maakt de toepassing op deze materialen mogelijk. De draadloze openingsmelder bestaat uit een magneetcontact (reed) en een magneet. Deze worden parallel aan elkaar aangebracht. Het stroomcircuit van een NC openingsmelder is in rusttoestand gesloten. Wanneer de afstand tussen reed en magneet groter wordt, wordt het stroomcircuit onderbroken en een alarmsignaal gegeven. De melder is dankzij de uiterst robuuste amuninium behuizing bestand tegen beschadiging door overrijden. De openingsmelder voor stalen deuren is VdS gecertificeerd.

I understand others have reported really mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we got this duck and it's one of the only toys we've bought that I feel like was worth the price because it didn't get destroyed immediately. We plan on buying another one for Christmas.
