In 2006 nam Frank het bedrijf van zijn stiefvader over, in 2009 bracht hij zijn eerste eigen gebottelde oogst op de markt. Met succes. Alle wijnen stuk voor stuk goed. De wijngaarden liggen in het zuidelijkste puntje van de Pfalz, waar de druiven geen moeite hebben om tot optimale rijping te komen. Voor deze Riesling worden ze eerst ontsteelt en later gerijpt op gebruikte houten vaten. De naam Pfalz is afkomstig uit het Latijn: Palatium, hetgeen paleis betekent. Ook wel genoemd “het Toscane van Duitsland” vanwege klimaat en vegetatie. (Rheinland) Pfalz is het op één na grootste Anbaugebiet van Duitsland, grenzend aan Rheinhessen in het noorden en de Elzas in het zuiden. Dankzij de Atlantische oceaan heerst er een mild klimaat met relatief weinig regen. De wind komt vanuit het westen. In de zomer is het meestal warm en zonnig. In de winter worden de druiven door het Haardtgebergte tegen koude oostenwind beschermt en in de zomer houdt deze gebergte juist de warmte vast. De ideale omstandigheden voor druiven dus. Als we de Riesling inschenken wordt de neus gedomineerd door een boeket dat doet denken aan verse citrusvruchten, zoete kersen en zoute minerale. In de mond een sappige, frisse, knapperige wijn met een vleugje kruiden. Een elegante wijn met een lichte bitterzoete afdronk. Great for Sensitive Skin

My face has always been sensitive to sunscreens, so I have to be careful with what I use on my face. (Others can cause burning sensations). This sunscreen is great. I had no issues, and unlike other sunscreens, sweat running didn't cause my eyes to burn or water which was great.
Keeps my skin protected against the hot Florida sun, so it works!

And the crowd goes mild

I had heard such great things but I’m really left a little disappointed. I got the light tinted version, and it’s much darker than anticipated. And the smell is not great. It kind of smells like my grandpa’s trailer and not in a nice, nostalgic way. As a sunscreen though, I have no complaints. The protection is great and at the end of the day that’s what I really need out of this.

Such a great new product from Sun Bum
New product from Sun Bum - love it! I gave it a try after getting a bit too much sun on my arms and chest at a soccer game and it worked great. So soothing and calming. Takes the sting off right away and reduces the redness. This will become a staple in my bag for me and the kids this summer.

Good after-sun spray
The pros: We have used this a couple of times after getting more sun than we wanted, and it seems to work as advertised. It has a cooling feel to it, and seems to soothe the skin well. It's not greasy and it absorbs well -- I didn't notice I had it on it after initially putting it on. It doesn't have a glow or shine to it. It also has a very minor fragrance -- not one that's noticeable. The size is great; you can take it with you on vacation and even put it in your carry-on. Perhaps most important, I am glad for the more natural ingredients involved -- ones that aren't toxic.
The cons: It's a little expensive, as most sun bum products are. And it seems to work well, but I feel like aloe works similarly.

Great Hypochlorous Spray!
I love Sun Bum and I regularly use hypochlorous acid in my skincare routine, so I was stoked to try this!
First, I have sensitive skin that’s prone to redness, dryness, and acne. Hypochlorous acid has been a godsend on days where I need a toner step but my skin doesn’t want to tolerate anything. Hypochlorous acid is also great for acne healing and prevention. On top of all of that, it’s good for general skin healing so this can definitely be used on the rest of your body wherever your skin may be irritated (please use common sense here lol).
There’s no scent which is great and exactly what you’d want in a hypochlorous acid spray. The way it feels is comparable to magic molecules hypochlorous acid spray, which is what I’ve been using until receiving this one to try. It’s like a very watery toner. The spray itself is a fine mist and doesn’t feel like getting blasted in the face lol. It takes maybe 30 seconds to a minute to dry down after spraying a few sprays on your face, just depending how dry your skin and climate are. It’s a great base for literally any other skincare and it’s also a great refresher to spray on top of other products during the day. It really does it all.
As far as value, I will say even though the price is comparable, you get more with magic molecules. I’ve included some photos to compare the bottle size. While I’m thrilled to try this for free, I don’t think I would repurchase unless it was on sale/better value than the MM version.
It is a cute little bottle and looks good with my other skincare, just in case that’s something you care about. The bottle is fully plastic - no glass. Some may prefer that and some not. I find it really easy for chucking in my bag/traveling. I haven’t noticed any issues with leaking although I truthfully haven’t traveled with it that much.
I’m giving this 5 stars because it’s a really solid choice for a hypochlorous acid from a great brand and it’s sensitive skin friendly!
