Michael Ratner (1943–2016) was one of America’s leading human rights lawyers. He worked for more than four decades at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) becoming first the Director of Litigation and then the President of what Alexander Cockburn called “a small band of tigerish people.” He was also the President of the National Lawyers Guild.
Ratner handled some of the most significant cases In American history. This book tells why and how he did it.
His last case, which he worked on until he died, was representing truth-telling whistleblower and now political prisoner Julian Assange, the editor of WikiLeaks.
Ratner “moved the bar” by organizing some 600 lawyers to successfully defend habeas corpus, that is, the ancient right of someone accused of a crime to have a lawyer and to be brought before a judge.

Great Power and Creamy Foam

This frother is amazing and has really good power. It creates creamy, smooth foam in seconds and works perfectly for iced lattes, cappuccinos, and matcha. I love that it’s rechargeable and lightweight, but still feels strong and high quality.
As someone who loves coffee, this has become one of my favorite tools for making café-style drinks at home. Easy to use, easy to clean, and looks beautiful on my coffee station.

Powerful easy to operate but splashes

Excellent frother--Very powerful and easy to turn on/off with one button. The only downside is it requires a deep container in which to froth. The frothing pitcher I had was too small and milk splashes everywhere. There is no lower speed so it works fast. I am using a deep insulated container now for frothing. Otherwise, very quite, easy to operate no pushing down on the top like other frother wands. I love it as long as I can control it to limit the splashing.
