Beginning with its basic and perhaps most intriguing component, this American Performer’s body is formed from sassafras and is dashed with a satin Mocha finish. For a unique choice of wood, this Tele’s sassafras single-cutaway figure carries with it the classic Telecaster form but with some distinct difference in resonance and feel in large part to its choice of alternative tonewood. This sassafras is matched with a maple neck in a quick Modern “C” profile, outfitted for dynamic playing. A maple fingerboard joins the fray on this model with twenty-two Jumbo frets that feel spacious and allow for easy and quick fretting across the full scale length. A synthetic bone nut and Fender ClassicGear tuning machines line the headstock for accessible stringing and solid intonation.
