The PRS SE Custom 24-08 is an incredibly versatile instrument built to high regards albeit its modest price tag. What is a Custom 24-08 you may ask? It is the flagship Paul Reed Smith electric with an electronics upgrade of individual mini-toggle switches for extended flexibility and tonal options. For the player who favors a master volume and tone configuration - and perhaps would prefer to stray from push/pull tone controls - the SE Custom 24-08 offers exactly that with its unique design.
Of course, the Custom 24-08 features the iconic double cutaway PRS body with 24 frets and signature PRS Birds inlays. It is based around mahogany construction with a maple top, offered here in a new Turquoise finish. Its multi-ply neck receives the PRS Wide Thin shape, with set neck construction and a rosewood fingerboard.
The SE Custom 24-08 features the PRS Patented Molded Tremolo for expressive creativity, as well as a pair of PRS designed TCI "S" pickups. Remember, each pickup is wired to its own mini toggle to allow for coil splitting options. When selecting coil split options, the inside coil of either respective pickup is active. A total of eight possible pickup positions and combinations are available on the SE Custom 24-08.
