This anniversary model starts out with a Taylor Grand Concert body formed from a solid sapele back and sides and a Sitka spruce top. These two tonewoods when combined offer a rich sonic palette of solid woody lows, crystalline highs and a dense midrange. Taylor took extra care in this design process by heat-treating the Sitka spruce through a process known as torrefaction to impart a slight age to the tonewood, resulting in a played-in and well-loved sound and feel right out of the case.
