Its color is a soft tan to peachy light brown color with subtle darker brown streaks of mineralization. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. Pecan Bowl Blank P-463 3" x 6" x 7" 2.7 lbs. This is a small half-log bowl blank of Texas-grown Pecan wood. Its color is a soft tan to peachy light brown color with subtle darker-brown streaks of mineralization. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. It has full bark on the back side, although it is a bit loose and needs to be secured prior to turning. This half-log bowl blank should be suitable for a bowl 5-6" in diameter and up to 3" deep. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. However, if you want a full bark edge on the "natural" rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This piece is GREEN to partially air-dried, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. Moisture content was 20-25% when measured in May, 2022. It has been well-sealed and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. It does have a sliver of pith in it and has a few cracks developing that radiate out from the remnant pith. You may wish to reinforce these with CA glue prior to turning. Love that it drains into the sink!

Loving it so far! I put water in it to show how it drains into the sink. But when the water that comes off of the scrub brushes and sponges from regular usage, it does drain like it’s supposed too. There is some water that sits there but for the most part, it does drain into the sink. The little bit of water that sits there, ends up evaporating. It fits the 26 fl. Oz. Of dish soap, which is great! It holds the sponges in place. Helps to keep things around the sink clean. I had another storage container that held my stuff in but it didn’t drain into the sink so mold would form and I would have to throw stuff away. I like the fact this one has a drain, so that water doesn’t stand on the bottom and create mold after awhile. It’s easy to assemble. The quality is great! It’s easy to clean!// 8/23/25 love it so much, I bought a 2nd one for the other side of my sink! It’s also easy to clean as well.

Great sink caddy!
