Daniel Romano's "Come Cry With Me" sways into your soul like a cowboy under a melancholy moon.Released in 2013, this classic country album is a nod to timeless legends like George Jones and Hank Williams, yet refreshingly unique with Romano's ironic twist. Steeped in the traditional sounds of country music, it combines heartfelt and tragic storytelling with a cheeky, playful edge that keeps you on your toes. Central to its charm is Romano's knack for weaving tales of loss and hard times with a wink and a well-honed twang.
The album shines with meticulous attention to musical detail - the kind that flags Romano not just as a musician, but as a craftsman. Lyrical themes dive deep into the human condition, laced with creative parodies that both homage and modernize the hallmark sounds of Americana and honky-tonk. The instrumentation supports this masterfully, drenching each track in authenticity with a touch of playful irreverence.
This beloved album finds its way back into the spotlight with a reissue pressed on vibrant pink vinyl - its first appearance since 2020. For collectors and new listeners, this isn't merely a slice of vinyl; it's an experience that captures the spirit of country music's golden era reimagined through Romano's sharp, innovative lens.

Outstanding Book
Format: Paperback
Great book, a classic that seems more timely now than ever! First read Dr Akbar’s book years ago and bought this updated edition to replace the copy someone borrowed & never returned (another sign of a good book when they don’t get returned). So glad to have this new copy to revisit the deep wisdom and insights Dr Akbar lays out. He explains the painful & persistent psychological & sociological chains of slavery clearly and irrefutably. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to better understand why it’s so hard to heal the terrible wounds of slavery — even today, even generations past physical shackles....

Quick & Informative Read
Format: Paperback
I only called it a “quick read” because when I get warped in a book, I lose track of time. This is one of those books.
Quite an easy read.
Recently Purchased the other books that were recommended with this one.
