Our oak Whisky Flight Boards were once part of a working Scotch whisky barrel - steeped in spirit, spending years in a warehouse maturing the whisky within, and thereafter retired following its contribution to the whisky industry.  BraveStaves takes these staves and re-crafts them into their Whisky Flight Boards, ensuring the character of the cask is maintained.

Handcrafted from Retired Scotch Oak Whisky Barrels

Our Whisky Flight Boards are cut to size before being cleaned up and sanded down to smooth out any rough edges.  Each stave is different from the next, with different levels of charring on the underside and different grain on the actual wood itself.  Once the years of grime and dirt have been removed, the six 50mm holes are bored into each stave.  The 50mm hole is the perfect size to carry Glencairn Whisky Glasses, which are globally considered the whisky-tasting glass of the seasoned whisky drinker.  

Our 6 Dram Whisky Flight Board is the perfect option for showcasing whisky from each of Scotland’s 5 whisky regions (Highland, Lowland, Speyside, Islay and Campbeltown) and still leave room for a dram from another part of the world.

If your'e part of a whisky club, why not use our stave to showcase your whiskies?  The stave will allow you to safely keep each Glencairn glass in place, allowing you to go back and forth with the drams as your tasting goes on.

The history of Harris Tweed goes back to the 1800’s.  For generations, locals have woven this woollen cloth for their own use from their crofts.  Over the years, the quality of the Harris Tweed ® caught the eye of British aristocrats further afield, and this then became a desirable and fashionable fabric.

We offer a choice of Genuine Harris Tweed ® or faux leather inserts for your whisky flight boards.  We currently offer a choice of 16 different Genuine Harris Tweeds ® for the inserts and a choice of 6 different colours of faux leather.  This gives you the ability to choose a colour scheme which matches the environment where you’re going to enjoy a whisky.

Dimensions and Finishes

The 6 Dram Whisky Flight Board is approximately 44cm long, 11cm wide and 2.5cm thick.  The Whisky Flight Board can be bought with or without Glencairn Whisky Glasses.  Buyers have a choice of 16 different Genuine Harris Tweeds ® or 6 different colours of faux leather for the inserts where glasses are held; alternatively, these can be left natural with only the wood on display.
