Ferrand SDA (Sélection des Anges) is an unusually lively XO Cognac that invites you taste the peak potential of Ferrand’s prestigious Grande Champagne vineyards. Named after the French term for “angel’s share”, over half of the eau-du-vie originally entered into cask has been lost to evaporation, creating an incredibly concentrated and complex profile during the spirit's slow maturation in Ferrand’s cellars.
Paradoxically vibrant, yet with the rich roundness that comes with decades of age in a humid cellar, Ferrand SDA opens with a bouquet reminiscent of baking on a spring day. A fresh-from-the-oven pastry profile of raisin, honey, vanilla, and apricot is followed by elegant floral notes of rose and jasmine from the garden. SDA is a magical elixir that allows the senses to frolic between sun-drenched vineyards and the deepest corner of the master blender’s cellar. A timeless Cognac with a breath of fresh air.

Tasting Notes for Ferrand S.D.A. Selection Des Anges Cognac
Captivating aromas of candied walnuts and orange peel give way to an unbelievably rich palate of figs, sultanas, cinnamon and clove. Extensive wood aging concentrate the flavors, yielding a molasses-like viscosity and an eternal finish redolent of antique polished mahogany.
Suggested Serves
A cognac to be enjoyed in small sips given its rarity and complexity. Serve neat at room temperature in a special occasion glass to appreciate the aromas and ever-evolving flavors.
Production Notes
Cognac aged for over 170 years in barrel. Then transferred century-old casks for the final 25 years to concentrate flavors.
