Gillie and Marc’s hybrid characters, Dogman and Rabbitwoman, represent the ultimate odd couple – two individuals who love each other even though they don’t fit in to the outside world’s expectations. They tell the artists’ own true love story and reflect their belief in embracing the diversity of relationship experiences. Ducks develop strong bonds with their mates with some species sticking together as a pair for numerous years. Gillie and Marc also see their own children, Jessie and Ben, as their best friends. Like them, a mother duck is also very caring towards their young, which is why Dogman and Rabbitwoman like them so much.
