This limited edition Fender Custom Shop starts with a single-cutaway Telecaster body made from two-piece select ash with an offset seam. Providing a different feel in hand from traditional Teles, this model offers an alternative route to a classic and fulfilling Telecaster experience. The ash selection is used as a great base for both this guitar’s sonic character and canvas for its Flash Coat lacquer finish. With some tasteful scrapes and chips across the body’s finish, the Custom Shop’s Relic finish treatment exposes some of the ash’s wood grain for a multidimensional visual experience.

The Telecaster-shaped ash of this limited edition Custom Shop is paired with a one-piece roasted riftsawn maple neck shaped in a 1954 “U” profile. This particular selection of shape hearkens back to early Fender neck designs while offering a full and firm grip in hand. This roasted riftsawn maple fills out to a fingerboard measuring with a 7.25” – 9.5” Vintage Compound radius. Measuring with a rounder 7.25” radius near the nut and a 9.5” radius toward the body, this neck facilitates a unique and multi-faceted playing experience from lower to higher registers. Twenty-one frets line the board with 6105 Narrow Tall fret wire that assists in articulate playing. Vintage-Style tuning machines line the headstock for quick string changes while a Vintage-Style disc string tree accompanies.
