Aye Jay, best known as the illustrator/creator of the Gangsta Rap Coloring Book is MAJOR DAD.
In 1993, he co-founded Chico, California's first rap group, spanning over twenty plus years.
Last year, after a wrist surgery, he picked up the microphone again after a ten-year hiatus. Inspired by Lupe Fiasco's living room recording, and with a ton of bartered beats in tow, he learned to write and record at home, and went on a tear, releasing eight separate projects in the first year.
Like his art, the music is full of humor, pop culture references, and fun. In a nod to both Major Lazer and the Eighties sitcom he called it MAJOR DAD.
Cover art by Aye Jay reflects this, with famous art recontextualized, and a nod to now-defunct record labels thrown in for good measure.
Featuring Kool A.D. (Das Racist), Bonnie "Prince" Billy (Palace Music), Prince Zimboo (Major Lazer), Z-Man (Hiero), and Faydog. All scratches by DJ Swamp (Beck) .
The album also features production from Vrse Murphy (Sacred Hoop), Brycon, Maitre D, and Grammy-nominated Marty James (Scapegoat Wax).
Thirty copies of the LP are available in a bundle with the Gangsta Rap Coloring Book!
Released by Last Gasp Press in 2004, the GRCB was an immediate success and received mass-media attention, most notably getting screen time in Spike Lee's "Sucker Free City"

Durable and sturdy. I bought two

Love the kit. I ordered two to make an L-shaped desk for my home office. Perfect height, looks cool, and sturdy. Slightly tricky to get two of them to the exact same height but you can adjust them buy loosing/tightning parts. Way cheaper than going to the hardware store and buying the same parts. I wiped each piece down as they are a bit dirty/greasy, but no big deal.

Great legs - sturdy when fully assembled with tabletop.
Size: H Desk Unfinished 3/4-in and 1/2-in
These legs are great. I put it together with a butcher block tabletop and it turned out beautifully. I recommend using a level on the legs once you get them into position and again when you place a top on it. The screws included were so easy to screw into the block but that will vary depending on the top you select. Watch the videos another reviewer posted on cleaning the legs with a mild soapy water and dry them thoroughly. It really helped me. Also after it was all assembled I used a clear acrylic - in a spray can to clear coat and seal the legs. I am really happy with it.

Super easy to put together, sturdy, and looks great. I had no issues with missing screws like some of the reviewers seem to have had - there was one or two extra of each piece in my package (both screw lengths, table foot pads, and the suction cups for the glass).
The tables are very lightweight but substantial, I love being able to nest the smaller one so it doesn’t take up space when it’s not in use, and I would definitely purchase this again if I was looking for additional surface area that looked clean and minimal but offered functional
