When to Replace
- Visible cracks, stress marks, or leaks are present.
- Threads are stripped or damaged, preventing a watertight seal.
- The fitting has become brittle from age or chemical exposure.
- During system plumbing upgrades or reconfigurations.
Installation Tips
- Turn off the pool pump and relieve all system pressure before installation.
- Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape 3-4 times in a clockwise direction for a proper seal.
- Attach the flexible hose to the smooth barb and secure it with a stainless steel hose clamp.
- Hand-tighten the threaded connection, then use a wrench for a final 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.
- Ensure the gasket or o-ring on the receiving female port is clean and in good condition.

Used them to install Morimoto 2 Banger pods on my vehicle. Casing for the wires is thick enough that will stand the weather and abrasion. I spliced them to make just one run, added braided sleeving (for looks and additional protection). The wire quality and thickness made the connection with waterproof connectors strong and durable. Saved me around 20 dollars as compared to brand name wires.
