Agricola: Farmers of the Moor is an expansion for Agricola, one of Uwe Rosenberg's best-known games. In Agricola, 1-4 players compete as rival medieval farmers. You each start off with humble beginnings: a small house and a patch of empty land. It's a worker placement game where you'll look to grow vegetables to feed your family. You'll look to gain resources to expand your farmhouse. And you'll look to fence off pastures so you can practise animal husbandry and get some cows and sheep!Farmers of the Moor, then, adds further depth, strategy and options into the mix. The same core gameplay remains. You visit resource accumulation spots, and new locations get added each passing round. But there's changes, too. To begin with, your farm's covered with forest and moor tiles. You'll need to clear these before you start farming! But don't worry, you can cut the peat you find in the moor, so it's not all bad. You'll need that peat though - because now you have to heat your farm, or your family fall sick! Heating costs fall if you renovate your house, which could drive your early-game strategy...In this expansion there's more animeeples, too! (Animals + meeples = animeeples!) Horses get their debut in Farmers of the Moor, and they provide big points if you can breed them. Also, there's an extra 14 new Major Improvements, and a whopping 117 Minor Improvements. These cards will have a big impact on how you plan your approach. At the same time, they provide a barn-load more replay-ability.This is the revised version of Farmers of the Moor, by publisher Lookout Spiele.
