One of the most loved children's patterns available from Kate Davies in an extensive size range from 6 months to 10 years with pattern details for aran and bulky weight yarn!  Cables are delicately crafted to form a yoke of owls on an otherwise simple sweater in bulky weight yarn. Eyes of the owls can be small buttons or sequins.

These sweater are designed for kid's body shapes -- with a shallower yoke depth, and a wider neck than the adult Owls, to allow for proportionately larger heads and smaller chests/shoulders.  For smallest sizes, click herePlease note, pattern is close fitting.  You may prefer to go up 1 size for a loose fit with growing room.

Kit includes pattern and yarn.  Buttons or sequins not included. The pattern covers 10 sizes from 6 months to 10 years in two different yarn weights (aran and chunky).  Sizes with similar skein counts are combined for kit purposes only.  For Ball Winding services click here.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN (Baby sizes in Aran Weight): Rialto Aran by Debbie Bliss (100% Merino Wool; 50g/87yds): This yarn is discontinued. Please choose from alternate yarns below.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.
