It has gorgeous grain and hints of spalting. The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! It has a minor branch coming off the back of the blank, about mid way up. UFO Peach Bowl Blank Ph-433 3" x 7.5" x 12.5" 5.5 lbs. This is a sizeable bowl blank of Texas-grown UFO Peach wood. It has gorgeous grain and hints of spalting. The color is a warm brown that is rather, well, peachy! It has a minor branch coming off the back of the blank, about mid-way up. There is some very pretty swirling grain associated with the branch / crotch area at mid-block. You may be able to turn several small bowls or other pieces out of this blank if you cut it in half. There is some spalting and bug-assisted decay, but the wood has plenty of integrity. There are also some moderate-sized drying checks starting to appear, despite the block being well-sealed with Anchor Seal. (Fruit tree wood tends to want to crack as it dries). You may want to touch up with CA glue as you turn. This wood was from a tree grown in Katy, Texas. It died during the Valentine's Day freeze of 2021. We cut and sealed it with Anchor Seal shortly after it died, then let it rest and spalt for about a year before processing it. We have very limited quantities of this unusual-to-Texas wood. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried bowl blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed on all surfaces with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It has been heat-treated to eliminate any gnawing critters. It was measured at ~25% MC in May 2022. My Female GSD loves

Shasta is my smallest. Six in December (2025) along with her brother. She’s 100 lbs and outside, completely ball driven see last picture. Don’t let the size (2.5”) of these Chuck-It balls deter you. If your larger Breed dog has any orthopedic issues, has already torn their ACL etc, one has arthritis but wants to play. This size is perfect!
Shazzy was born with several ortho issues. I don’t throw balls distance but right to her. This size and lighter weight assure even when Shazzy is spazzy w excitement, she’ll catch the ball mid air.
The green balls are softer, and glow in the dark. In summer we can play well past dusk and I can see them!
Her personality shows in the pictures. Playing ball is part of her. These balls are just perfect for her situation. Somehow they disappear, she loves making baskets, puts them in my tractor bucket, or my gardening bucket..then get put in burn pile, trash etc. I keep replacing them because she’d look day and night if we actually ran out!! 🙏✝️👍🏼👍🏼

Holds up pretty well.

Holds up against my velociraptor! Much better than some of the other holey balls that get torn apart quickly. I think this is a great idea to reuse old shoe soles into toys for the heavy chewers like heelers. I would like to see a large ball like 10-12 inch diameter, so they can push and throw it around.

Molly loves her ball!

Soft and easily caught by a rambunctious Border Collie. She loves her ball and points to it with her nose when she's ready for another game of "ball". Easy to throw and easy to clean of slobbers!
