Application Guidelines:

• How to Apply: Utilize clean, properly calibrated drop, rotary, hand shaker, or other spreader equipment to ensure uniform application. For over-the-top applications, promptly remove granules from leaf surfaces using a blower or irrigation to prevent potential injury to sensitive plants.

• Application Rate: Apply Specticle® G at a rate of (2.9 to 4.6 pounds per 1,000 square feet), depending on the specific weed pressure and desired length of control. Do not exceed 200 pounds per acre in a single application or 400 pounds per acre within a 12-month period.

• Timing: For optimal results, apply Specticle® G prior to weed seed germination. Activation requires light irrigation or rainfall within several days after application to move the herbicide into the soil. Avoid application to saturated soils, and postpone if heavy rainfall that may cause visible runoff is anticipated.

Important Considerations:

• Turf and Ornamental Safety: Specticle® G is suitable for use on established warm-season turf grasses such as Bermuda grass, Zoysia grass, Buffalo grass, and Bahia grass. Exercise caution when applying near sensitive grasses or ornamentals not listed as tolerant on the label. (Do not apply to cool season lawn types)

• Soil Types: Be mindful when applying on coarse or sandy soils, as downward movement of the herbicide may cause root damage. In such conditions, consider using lower rates or split applications to mitigate potential risks.

• Post-Application Care: To activate Specticle® G, irrigate lightly after application to move the herbicide into the soil. Rainfall within several days after application will negate the need to irrigate. Avoid application to saturated soil, and postpone if rainfall that may cause visible runoff is anticipated.
