Constructed from sustainable pine and sourced from a family owned mill, this natural item sports a 6" by 4.5" oval opening, perfect for the needs of this duck species, with the 0.75” thick pine lending superior insulation for ducklings. A generous, downward slanting roof covers the abode to protect against rain and other outdoor elements, with extended slats just beneath either side of the roof providing proper air flow for ventilating the box. The inside of the front panel features a plastic ladder to allow ducklings to cling for a better grip as they leap from nest cavities within two days of hatching, and the bottom panel leaves gaps at every corner for additional drainage and air flow. One side of the home has two panels that are held in place by metal latches, opening easily upward for close up observation and easy cleanings when necessary, and an included bag of pine shavings lets you set up an appealing nesting space.
