Martin Custom Shop 00 Size 28 Style w/ Cocobolo, Engelmann SpruceIn the spring of 2018, Russo Music and Martin Guitars worked in a collaborative program to design from the ground up six custom acoustic guitars. We hand selected the woods to be used from stacks of Cocobolo, Swiss and Englemann Spruce, and Sinker Mahogany pulled from a river in Belize after 200 years of aging. Part of our custom series is this: a Custom 00 28. This eloquent acoustic guitar features an Englemann Spruce top and Cocobolo back and sides.

In the spring of 2018, Russo Music and Martin Guitars worked in a collaborative program to design from the ground up six custom acoustic guitars. We hand selected the woods to be used from stacks of Cocobolo, Swiss and Englemann Spruce, and Sinker Mahogany pulled from a river in Belize after 200-years of aging. Part of our custom series is this: a Custom 00-28. This eloquent acoustic guitar features an Englemann Spruce top and Cocobolo back and sides. Cocobolo is a hardwood found in regions of Central America with an incredibly unique color variety and grain. It has been integrated in decorative woodworking for many years, and has received well regards and praise in the guitar community in recent years. Further complementing this Custom Shop Martin are diamond pattern inlays, Herringbone binding, and Maple binding and endcap. This 00-28 has a characteristically boasting - almost vowel-like – midrange, and incredible sustain. Being a smaller body guitar, it hits peak volume with less effort and attack. For fingerstyle players, you are able to achieve volume without straining your picking hand. Its modified low-oval neck profile fits the hand comfortably without being drastically too thin or wide.
