His career spanned designing furniture, three-wheeled vehicles, Olympic cauldrons, and pedestrian overpasses. He achieved notable recognition for his water kettles, iconic Butterfly Chairs, and his porcelain and silverware collections. Nihon Yoshokki Co Ltd, situated in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, produces the majority of Sori Yanagi's acclaimed kitchenware and tableware designs.
